remain in me

i've been feeling really out of it the past week. when i met with kirsten this week, i kept telling her that i felt out of it and disconnected. i've noticed that i haven't been "waking up to God" this week. like when i wake up i feel like i'm automatically closed off to Him. a sure sign of spiritual malnutrition. then thinking back on this hectic week, i've realized that i haven't had a decent quiet time at all. it's been hit and run. sorta like shoving down a croissant before dashing out the door. i actually do that in real life. i buy mini croissants and i literally eat them in one bite. i just stuff it in my mouth. how attractive and ladylike. my mum would laugh, shake her head, and sigh. anyways i digress. so today i've been reminded of John 15:5 (part of the upper room discourse that we did on OEX. yay for IBS on projects. and by IBS i don't mean "irritable bowel syndrome", although that did happen. a lot. rambling again.)

"I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." (ESV)

funny this verse hangs in my room on a huge honking scroll, yet i still forget. but what a good reminder right before panama. i've been so focused on the "to do list" that i've forgotten about the Reason why i have those things on the to do list in the first place. it's like cutting off the head. then Julia sent me a really encouraging email this morning. i love that girl. what a wise woman. and the first verse on it was Hebrews 12:2. how apt.

so panama. i am muchly excited to meet God in another way. huzzah! man lydia's blogging style is really rubbing off on me. i could be another lydia. yikesers. i need to invent words of my own. wait she doesn't use the word "honking"...ok rambling again. signing off folks.

hasta la vista chicos. voy a panama!!!!

Why on earth did you move??? No one uses Blogspot anymore. If you move to Facebook, I can understand, but Blogspot is so last year.

    I demand a move back!
